I am a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering where I co-teach a class on Crowdsourcing & Human Computation for masters students in Computer Science, and I’m developing a course on the Responsible Use of AI.
I recently earned my PhD in Societal Computing at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software and Societal Systems Department (S3D) in the School of Computer Science where I was advised by Dr. Kathleen Carley in CASOS. I did research in the field of network science for the Department of Defense and receive funding as a Knight Fellow through the Center for Informed Democracy & Social-cybersecurity (IDeaS). You can read more about my group’s work on Social Cyber Security.
Prior to CMU, I worked for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab where I earned my masters in Computer Science at night. I also worked as a data scientist at Wayfair where I created recommender systems for their brand Joss & Main.
I earned my BS in June 2014 from MIT where I double majored in Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences and Management Operations Research in the Sloan School of Management, and was advised by Professor John Little.
I was raised in Media, Pennsylvania with my two older brothers.
I am always excited to meet new people and hear about new ideas and opportunities. Feel free to reach out!
